I have a 91FXSTC and recently taken it to my local service shop for a trans seal repair, I have owned this bike for 3years and have never had any problem it. Come to find out that my frame is bent slightly on primary side just under where the stater is and the inner primary will not come off unless the motor is jacked up cause it is resting on the frame on this side, the guy said he could shem the motor up and make the repair and put it back together and it should be fine or the other option would be to take the motor off and try and repair the frame or buy a new one, any suggestions??? I recently purchased a 1995 Road King EVO Carbed with a salvaged title. I have most everthing sorted and it's back on the road. I still have to have it inspected before I can get the registration from the DMV. THis is a budget bike and I've been buying most everything from E-bay with really good luck so far.
I would like to know if a I can use a engine bar from a current model on my bike? It seems that most HD and aftermarket parts are made for 95-96 and then 97 to present. I understand the difference between Evo and Twin Cam, but are the frames that different.

Temps were in the hi 70's we took a ride to Big lake about 190 mi round trip. Not much for scenery but nice smooth roads, no traffic and didn't see a single cop. Stopped for a drink and met up with a guy and his lady riding a Big Dog. It looked real cool but I was glad to be on my Road King. AL

So what is the deal with the 08 tourings shuting down the rear cylinder when it gets to hot at idle?My dealer talked about this but I only half caught it.I am not sure if the rider dose it by rolling off the throttle?or is it in the ecm?Also if I do the stage 1 upgrade do I lose this feature?I also heard you can enable or disable this feature.What ever happened to points and a carberator?????
