Been lookin at a Jack lately. My buddy got one from Harbor Freight. Didn't come with any straps. They got some high prices on jacks. I just want it to raise the bike up so I can spin the wheels and make it a little eaiser to change the oil. I stopped in Sears where I live and they had 1 red motorcycle jack instock, I had em to throw it in the back of the truck. I took it home. I rolled it under the EGS and it hit the frame on the low side so I stood it upright and pushed the jack the rest of the way under the bike and used the foor pump on the jack and jacked the bike up some. The jack came with straps so I strapped the bike to the jack as safety precautions so I didn't have a bear trap.
I hear a lot of people complaining about this jack. I'm not tryin to use it for professional use but...

right now I'm between bakersfield and fresno for a week stopped in at the bakersfield h-d and won't go back which brings me to my comment was out vacationing in kansas down wichita way and stopped at the dealer there, great place nice folks there, then stopped at the hays dealer these folks although they deal in buells they were a key player in the interests of my oldest son not wanting a crotch rocket any more, he is now wanting a sportster 1200, I was glad to see the dealer talking to my son and not to me as he was the customer, he explained every thing that my son could conger up and more. I walked out of there pleased as punch my wife was ok with him on his own scoot( she was against it ) I don't have to worry about a rocket (instant death sentance for a young man with no fear) and...

hope you guys can get me straight on this. O.K .... you put on the pipes, a se/ac (efi) now you need to richen em up. so now you have the stealer do a download, plus you put on a pcIII
i'm of the impression you don't need both. i did the same, but never got the stealer download
. the pciii seems to do a fine job w/o any type of download. i don't think you need both seems it's only a waste of money to have both done(except for the stealer:rant: ). am i on the wrong tract here, :brick: if so please explain. seems only a pciii or a sert is needed. i don't see much use for those downloads anymore

Having said that, I figured that if anybody could provide some detail on this, it would be you guys. You the travel specialist with lots of miles under your belt. I am planning to attend Myrtle Beach Bike Week so I will need to have some kind of storage. I have a decent back pack but I know that is not the way to go.
