We ordered a Wimmer oil cooler from Drag, for whatever reason the unit showed up with incorrect frame clamps.
Before installing we called the local dealer, Drag has a no return exchange on Oil coolers, hmm.
So we called Wimmer. All we want to do is exchange the wrong clamps that we got, unused, new in the box, for a set that will fit an evo frame.
Spoke with Ryan at Wimmer, his policy, if you don't buy it directly from him you have no recourse or assistance, he will not exchange anything. Very rude about it, that's his policy.
I was polite but again, we now have an unuseable expensive oil cooler that cannot be mounted to the bike unless we give him $60 more for additional clamps.
We would have been happy to pay some kind of exchange fee for the service of doing it but were...

My bike is a 1985 FXRS, 5-speed, wet clutch, stock chain primary, belt final drive. All drive parts are stock or stock replacement.
My old starter drive gear ("bendix") was shot (turned pretty easy in both directions). So I got a new gear, primary gasket and starter shaft seals. The old seals were nearly disentegrated, so they came out easy.
Here is my question: How do I install the new seal on the primary side? Parts manual gives the same part number for both the tranny side and primary side seal, but I don't see how to get the new one in the primary side. There is a smaller hole in the primary which steps up to the correct size for the seal. The seal's OD is too big to fit past the small hole in the primary, but it won't go in from the tranny side either. Tranny side seal is...

Ok the weather gods have finally driven my sporty to the garage. Time for some more of that REAL fun I had earlier with her
.
Here is the advice I would like from some of you folks with more time in more saddles than I.
I have a 2005 883C Sporty. A fellow on another board has "1995 Harley springer frontend. Tire, wheel, handlebars. no headlight or fender. $650 obo". Being as I have never rode a springer but love the look, would this be worth while? Since the listing came from a 4wheel drive site and I have a 76 CJ5 that I no longer have money to fix up (something about a new addiction with 2 wheels LOL), and this person isn't far from me and may be willing to do some swapping.
Questions include:
Tech guys will there be an issue with Fit? I am ok with redoing...

well the lone star rally is finally over. and now maybe our tiny island can get back to normal, they estimated 500,000 showed up for this event, and from what i saw,it looked like it to....
chuck and his lovely wife came down on friday, and for those of you that really dont know chuck, he is one very laid back man, and after going to dinner and checking out the rally. my sporty started acting up, so we thought we would just try and limp the bike home, for 8 miles the bike spit and sputtered till it finally died a half mile from the house, now i am not so laid back, here i have these wonderful people hanging out with me, and i am ranting and raving, cussing and throwing rocks at the bike!!!!!
chuck comes up to me with a soft smile, and says dont wont worry about it, i know what it...

I am wondering if anyone has a Helmet Camera.... If you do, what/where did you get it? Cost? How easy/difficult is it to use? How satisfied are you with the film footage? I am thinking that something like this would be fun to place on my Christmas list....or tax return list.....or post deployment list (next summer projected)...... I am looking at all the different options.....they all seem to look about the same, but you never know..... Thanks!
