Last March (2006) I bought a new Dyna lowrider, and I have covered 15000 miles on since. Have had a recent breakdown on it. The eight bolts securing the compensator sprocket to the rotor have viberated out damaging the stator behond repair leading to lose of the charging system.
Can I ask if anyone else has experienced this problem on 2006, as I know a number of changes have been made to this year of manufacture.
Thanks Gollum

I was checking the alignment for the bike and setting the offset for the front wheel. I have noticed that when I ride, the frame seems to be aligned slightly to the right. Is this typical for the softails? The bible shows the offset is only checked on one side and the diagram shows the wheels are aligned on the right side???
I have checked the rear wheel alignment and it is correct.

Hey all,
I got a chance to ride my brothers road king yesterday while he rode my 96 heritage.
He complained of the steering being hard on the heritage. His is very nimble.
I have not repacked the bearings since owning it and am doing 20K maintenance on the heritage. I am used to the steering but it is concerning to me.
Anyone have any experience on the steering ease on the heritage? I have properly torqued the bearings.
