From what I've been told NC has just pass a new helmet law to take effect in Jan 08. The new law states that the helmet must have the DOT logo enlayed into the helmet not a sticker
, also it must be on a label sewn inside the helmet and Stamped into the foam layer under the liner. After Jan 08 if the police pulls you and checks not only will you get a ticket  but the police will sit and watch you until someone either brings you an approved helmet or picks up your bike or you start walking. :cussing: I think that the new law should leave the wearing of helmets up to the rider as long as they are over the age of 21 and at least one year experance riding.

Hello All, its been awhile since I last posted but fall is here and I'm ready to ride. But first I would like to get my heated handgrips working. They were OK last year when I rode to Daytona Bikeweek. I need some help troubleshooting.
The HD installation bulletin provides a troubleshooting guide but it is unclear in some areas.
Step 5: says to check for "12VDC across the Red and Black wires of the handgrip main wire harness. " However, the red wire is essentially connected to the battery B+ terminal through the ignition relay, and the black wire is connected directly to the B- terminal. Since my bike (03 Road King) starts and runs fine the ignition relay is OK. So HD is saying to check for 12V across my battery.... that makes no sense to me. Unless I cut into the...

I have an 88 softail springer. After about and hour or so riding steady, the electrical just quits. No dash or headlites, no power, not nothing. Pull to the side of the road and the lights return. Starts right up. Go a little ways further and the same thing. It is usually warm outside (90's). I have tried "tweaking" the ignition switch by moving the position watching the dash lights which seems to help some. After a couple stops like this, starts right up and goes on without any other problems. Anyone run across this before? Thanks!

I have a 01 Dyna T-sport with 13,000 on it, when I ride it has a slight clatter sound that sounds like it is coming from the rockers, is this normal???? or no. If more info is needed let me know.
