Just dropped by to say I've moved from Socal up the map a ways to the Central Coast. I'm just east of Morro Bay in the town of Atascadero.
Just a few days ago I got the internet connection set up.
I'l be trying to post a bit more on my local rides.

Just received a CVP tuner kit for my 2006 XL883L. I dont want to install it till I get this question answered. The bike has the original carb and filter configuration and a set of Screamin Eagle pipes (I left the baffels in). I have adjusted the mix screw and got most of the 'sneezing' on the low and middle end out. The bike runs great on the high end.
Here's my question:
On the jetting table that was sent with the tuners kit, it shows the #42 jet for the Idle and the # 170 jet for the main if the bike has a stock filter and exhaust.
The Jetting Table also shows a#44 Idle jet and # 175 Main jet if the bike has a Stage 1 filter / Exhaust. I'm not sure if I should use the #42 idle and the #175 Main since I have the original carb/filter and the Screamin Eagle pipes or if I should stick...

I recently purchased a '98 Road King, 80in evo, cv carb and slip ons.
Bike ran ok but sat alot, had a hard time starting. I rebuilt the carb that supposedly had a stage one in it, I pulled the plug and set mixture at 2.5 turns out, I don't remember jet sizes.
After rebuilding (and before rebuilding), bike is hard to start, if I twist throttle one time then crank it backfires through carburetor, if I don't it backfires through exhaust. After couple tries it cranks and runs great but it'll scare the devil out of everyone in the parking lot when I first fire it up.
I took it to a local bike shop, they said it runs good. I know it runs good, I want it to be easier to start.
Any ideas?!?!

Even if you don't like being seen at one for fear of being
ridiculed by your riding buddies or spouse.....
You have a good reason...
Copied from my Sig Firearms web site. Feel free to pass it on.
The National Gun Victims Action Council (NGVAC) has called for a nationwide boycott of Starbucks and their products. This boycott is targeted for tomorrow 2/14 (Valentines Day), going forward, until they achieve their goal of banning carry in Starbucks.
Let me insert here that Starbucks has stated that they are neither pro-gun nor anti-gun. They do not wish to be dragged into our political battles on this issue. They are, what I and others have termed, pro-freedom. Starbucks just wishes to be left alone to sell coffee and their other products. Their policy is simple: They will...
