I have a 1972 FL Shovelhead, the engine has been bored and I have new jugs and pistons, S&S, I also have a new S&S oil pump. My problem is that at times when I start the bike oil dumps out of the bypass hose, I know that sometimes the checkball gets stuck or debris gets under it but I would like to know if there is something I can do to help prevent this dumping of oil. It does not do it all the time, usually at first start up when the bike has sat for a day or two and sometimes when I drive it for a short distance and then restart it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also is there a different type oil pump that I could install that might rid me of this problem.

Which is the best in your opinion and why? Do you use any particular tools other than your fingers and a good arm?

It was the most unbelievable, tension filled, hard fought, few flags, no fighting, hard hitting, greatest bowl I have ever watched. And, I would say that even if the Patriots won. It was a defensive battle on both sides of the ball and the Giants defense should get a ton of credit for taking Brady out of his rythym and giving Moss fits. Welker was playing fantastic.
