The adjustment nut for my enrichener cable has broken. Has any one ever had to change this cable ? how difficult was it ? I dont think you can replace the adjustment nut only, I cant see a way to take off the pull knob. All advice is appreciated

Anybody have an idea how ot remove a starter from a 1981 FLHE Harley Davidson Heritage Shovelhaed. Its got a big 1340cc engine. I cant find the 2nd bolt that holds the starter case in. Do I have to remove the housing and the starter together? Anybody have a diagram I can look at or some photos?
Help me please. I just bought this bad boy. I got a new starter and solinoid. The problem I am having is it cranks the motor then the starter just spins, the winnnnnggggggg sound and of course the engine does not crank over.
Does anyone think it could just be the solinoid and not the starter itself?
Thanks in advance for any help.

just got 99 FXST
I like the look of the 2008 FXSTC handlebar arrangement
Mine has short curved back risers with short standard bars.
Questions
What size is the stock handlebar on both 1" or 1 1/4" ?
( sorry I dont have a caliper)
I'm thinking I can just get a medium ape or buckhorn to get the look I want
But I mat need to replace my curved risers w/ straight ones.
My goal is not real tall rather a medium rise / pullback. ie stock FXTC
Does anybody know what the stock size is?
thnx

99 FXST EVO
Just bought first big twin. I love it...
Trying to figure out how to keep the sumb*tch running at idle with choke / enrichment lever down...
Have S&S Super E, gravity-flow gas tank valve (non vacuum)
I start bike w/ choke ( S&S calls it a vacuum assisted enrichment lever)
After warm up I can only push the choke back down about halfway( Not Flush with breather )
I opened up the Idle mixture screw one full turn - no change
S&S manual says you must run motor with choke all way down or you will foul plugs...
Any ideas???
Thanks in advance
addendum -thnks for all your suggestions. before I start monkeying w/ the carb adjustments I think I'll try a new set of plugs ( just in case they're fouled) ** even tho' I have the S&S E and the Andrews cam upgrade...

Gang:
Looking for some opinions out there regarding slip-on exhausts. I just sold my Sporty, which was a loud little pig! I had a set of V&H Straightshots slip-ons on the bike, which I loved.
I just went out and bought a 2007 Electra Classic. I am looking for some opinions regarding exhaust pipes for the touring models. I would like a LOUD set of pipes... the louder the better! I don't want to remove baffles, though... and they need to be high-flow for the Stage 1 that I will get done on the bike.
I am a fan of Vance & Hines, though some of the pipes for the touring models don't sound all that loud. I took a listen to the V&H sound bytes on their website, and I am inpressed with the Turn-Down slip-ons for the touring models.
