Hi I purchased this 85 wide glide it has the 1340 evo eingne and a 4 speed trans. the problem is the gut I purchased it from told me there was a trans problem with it. and now that I rode her now I see. it will shift fine for a little bit but than it will hang in the upper gears . you will beable to shift from 3rd to 4th. and 4th to 3rd but cant get her to shift any lower. if you mess with the shifter for a bit working it up and down as you ride it will go in to 2nd and 1st. will stay ther for alittle bit than do it again. just wanting some ideas what to look for when i tear in to her. and could this be fixed just by removing the top cover or will it need to be pulled out.

Hey folks, just installed a IDS pulley on my 07 Flhtc and some progressive 12 inch 418's. Wow, big difference in ride. I can now drop to 2200 rpm without the motor feeling like it will vibrate apart. Best money on a Harley part I have spent in 30 years. Now will someone please make a 32 tooth compensater sprocket and chain set up for this bike ?

Excuse my ignorance here, I just bought my first cruiser, an 01 Victory V92C. The previous owner put on some slipons with no baffles on the bike and drilled the airbox. The exhaust is REALLY loud and honestly doesn't sound that great. Also, Denver has that new sond ordinance. What I need to find out is how to go about installing baffles. I don't know what brand the slipons are, and in the J & P catalog, the largest baffles they list say they are for 2.25" OD pipes. Mine look like 2.5" OD. I know I don't have much info to offer, but can anyone offer me any guidance on what I should do to tame the noise down a little? My boss rides a Road King, when I told him I thought they were too loud he said " They're never too loud." After I fired it up he said "You might get a ticket...

I am waiting for my 2008 Heritage to come in to the dealership. My last bike had a Rinehart Tru Duals Exhaust System with a PC installed and the bike ran great. Since I can't get a tru dual system for the Heritage I opted for the Rinehart Slip On's. The dealer recommended the EFI Race Tuner Kit be installed. I can't find any info on this kit in the Harley Catalog as it is in a Screaming Eagle Catalog that only the service shop has access to. Does anyone have any info on the kit, or better yet does anybody have this kit on their softail?
