It rained hard the night before. So knew rain gear was in order but kept reminding myself that its for the kids. Well everyone's prayers were answered and the sun came out and blue sky prevailed. I still wore my rain pants.
We meant up,with the other guys from Sunset HOG and rode to the meet up site. We had two chapters there so way to many people to be Parade Marshals. Cops said they only wanted 30 and said no doubling up. Again we all said its for the kids. So a group of us left early and decided we will park on the side of the road then follow the last bikes up to the Shriners Hospital. Yea the kids that could be out we're there and to see there faces made all the effort worth it.
Here is some picks and I have one video where the bikes were all coming out of the staged area. All my...

Smoky Mountain Toy Run today, unusually warm, 60 and sunny. Not sure how many bikes, about 1500 or so. Pretty big for our little area. Raised $12K just from those that did not bring a toy and tee shirt sales. Probably 75% brought toy with them. I guess this was a $50K day for needy kids in Asheville area. Pretty Cool...

Been wanting some Freeze out under garments for a couple years.
Got the OL went to get something fast for breakfast. Its about 65 miles into Houston to a Cycle Gear.
Wanted to git there before the traffic started.
Got me a pull over top and some bottoms.
The OL was only gonna git a top. But she said after she got there she wanted some bottom's
She got two pair of Freeze out Glove liners. She said she wanted one pair in her truck to drive with.
The stuff is on sale right now. The wind does not come threw it.
You can NOT work in it. You will break out in a sweat super fast and have to take it off.
One of my neighbors I ride with bought some of this 2 yrs ago. He likes it.

Not saying how good this is. DaFish said he had a First Gear Textile Jacket, he told me how much he liked it.
They had sold out of First Gear Jackets. Not gonna get any in no time soon.
He showed me the First Gear and the Bilt in his catalog. They are made the same and out of the same material. Wanted a light weight jacket that I could carry that is not expensive and I'm not scared it might get stole like my 650.00 FXRG leather jacket I've had for 6 yrs.
So I got this jacket. This is product 683518
It was on sale for 149.00, has a removable liner and is water proof.
Waiting till I can try this coat.

Although this is a "project" it's not motorcycle related so this seems like the only place it might fit.
A little back story; I average about 3-4 hours of sleep per night for the last 25+ years. When hearing that, people usually ask "what do you do when you can't sleep?", well...hear it is. I get into crazy projects because my garage is pretty much sound proof. I decided to re-upholster my office chair. I was going to put my company logo on my seat since I love my job, but since my boys argued with me that spongebob would be better, we compromised with a Harley Logo. So I got out the embroidery machine and created my seat. Here's the steps in case you can't sleep.
Step 1: Have a chair. For this I'm using my ergo "knee" chair.
Step 2: Embroider a logo of your choice, like I...
