If you like tinkering with your bike, header wrap is great. If you'd rather just ride it until the wheels fall off, not so much.

It looked good and caught the eye of people at Sturgis and all over the place. Then it came undone from one of the ends and got beat up a bit before I got home. I had to soak some more wrap and blend the wraps and do it again. At that time, I added the tips from the original exhaust back on to the bike. More paint, looking good. It wasn't too long before it tore at the frame mount. More soaking and rewrapping, and this time I took some black anodized wire and wrapped it around the pipes to keep the wrap on. Repainted again (actually, there were several repaintings throughout this time). When I was putting the pipes back on, the wrench banged into the wrap...

I need to know what sizes to get after these new upgrades. I've got an 883-1250 conversion, 1997, cv stage 1 kit, strait shots with big city thunder baffles. I'm now getting the 883 heads done with the 1200 valves, ported with andrews n4 cams at NRHS. Right now I've got a 45 and 185 in there. I was figuring on getting a few different sizes on hand and go from there but have heard some big differences in opinions on what I'll need. Any ideas guys?

I was going to drop my heat shields off to get powder coated (well, it's actually something else, but similar final product), and I was going to a friend's garage to do my lifters. Then yesterday I was checking my tires and found a bulge in the front tire. Rear tire is nearing the end of its useful life, so I pulled both wheels and took them to the local shop. So much for taking the bike anywhere today or spending money on the heat shields. On the bright side, I'm alive to complain about it. :roflmao:

Was on the way home from an Inspection and headed down US 26 when all of a sudden all these county cops came upon on me in force. They went around me headed somewhere. Well turns out we were all headed to the same place. They went in for a pizza lunch and I stopped in the 7-11 for a coke. Man it was really coming down with rain and snow mix and 37 degrees. All riding Beamers and looked like carrying Springfield XD line.
