It has been some time since I have posted on this site so hello to all!!
I have a 2002 Wide glide with a twin cam engine. I take good care of my bikes.
I had a inner cam bearing, oil pump, and cams go....Bummer!
My thought was the inner cam bearing went and the shrapnal took out the oil pump. The beaing being gone took out the end of the cam. I was all set to replace the inner bearings and the oikl pump and then install gear drive cams when a friend introduced me to a individual who does work for a couple of Harley Dealers.
This person claims the Crankshafts of most Harley engines are not true (straight) And he does some welding on them and straightens them out to within 1 degree.
He states the Crankshaft is what takes all of the affore mentioned parts out when it is out of round. I...

I'm thinking about spending the $$ and getting the Progressive shocks for my 'King. I have the air adjustables now and they aren't bad but they aren't great. Anyone have any experience with the Progressives or any other better-than-OEM shocks?

I see one of our sponsers has what looks to be a good deal on this unit and it looks like it might be what I need. I am I confess ignorant when it comes to computers and fuel injection when it comes to motorcycles. The RK is the first such bike I've had and mostly I've just rode it. Do any of y'all have knowledge or experience with this particular unit? I would want to put it on an 02 Road King. Thanks. Al

Ok been putting this off on the dyna02. Gotta take heads off this one, gonna surface and stop the leak (no it ain't the rocker gasket). Gonna stick a set of adjustable rods, not gonna change the cam for now. Later on when the mood and money strikes I am gonna put in a set of "bolt ins". Is Never done it that way before. The stealership said there enough adjustment in the rods in order to not have to take off top end again, they do it all the time and even ask what someone's intentions are?!. Used to taking the the ol' bolt cutters to it an doing everything at once. Doing it here at the machine shop before it(shop) is sold. anyone? that knows? oh well maybe I'll get the cams too and call it a day.

Just announced earlier today on news that Honda bikes are closing shop here in Marysville Ohio. 450 jobs there will be absorbed into thecar,truck and "other" faciliites is the current plan. I do know several people that work there. People will still loose their jobs(Honda has alot of temps). did not get a reason on the radio but my co-worker's wife wotrks their and he said they gotr alot of stock sitting around. Not sure all the bikes are going back overseas or not.
