Not an easy post for me but on the 16th I had a pretty bad heart attack and underwent open heart surgery plus a heart valve repair. Maybe I should not even post it but just wanted to let some know why I have not been around. I had no indications of it coming on until it happened and I collapsed in my shop while working on my EL Camino. I spent 12 days in the hospital and feel fortunate to be hear. I guess I've been given a new lease on life and plan on doing a lot of things differently. Can't ride for 2 months so that is going to be hard. Funny, the first thing I asked the heart surgeon when he came up to my room in the hospital and asked if I had any questions was how long before I could get back on my Harley. He looked at me very seriously and said 8 weeks also for any thing...

I'm thinking of getting the low profile, quick release detachable Harley windshield for my 2003 Sportster. I won't be needing it often, but do plan a few 300 mile + highway rides this summer and the easy on/off windshield is appealing for those trips when I may be doing a steady 60+ MPH. I've noticed quite a few of these available on Ebay and thought I should get some recommendations first. There's also the "sport" quick release shield that thinner and higher on Ebay as well.

Any thoughts or suggestions before I bid on one?
