I just purchase a 2003 Ultra Classic. The cruise control does not work. Any ideas where to start?

i have a 2000 fxstb nighttrain. it don't charge. i disconnected the wires coming from the alt. to put an ohm meter from wire to wire i get a reading. from either wire to ground i get a reading. what's wrong?!!!!!!!

Howdy--- It's been a while since I last checked in, but now I am ready to do the 74 inch conversion on my 883. I last asked for general opinions about the wisdoim of the conversion, and most folks seemed to agree that it was well worth the time and money. I have some questions before I do it. 1. It looks like the best way to go is with the V-Twin Manufacturing kit (I'm thinking the 9.5:1 kit with Wiseco pistons), but is there anything else out there that I should be looking at? 2. I know I will need a rocker box gasket set in addition to the main kit, but should I be thinking about adjustable push rods? Any opinions about the conversion would be greatly appreciated.

Man I took one yesterday between the eyebrows felt like a damn rock. We have some decent ones up here in the Northwest but it isn't really too bad.Some of you guys must have bigger. Anybody nearly went down from a hit ? Almost made me move the windshield up to the top spot on the next to buy list. Must have been a big dragon fly or something. Saw it coming at the last instant......but too late. OUCH ! Had to stop and scrape the guts off.

My 75 FXE has a head oil leak. Question is, can I make this repair without removing the motor? I want to take the engine down this winter to get the jugs and heads powder coated but just want to get the oil leak fixed up quick.
