Hi folks, got a 98 fatboy with 13,000 miles on it. Last night I noticed a chirping sound low on the engine when I let off of the throttle, haven't had time to investigate yet. Could someone please steer me in the right direction? Thanks

Well, the big weekend for Reno Street Vibrations is upon us in Northern California and all I could do is gaze out the open shop door as the herds of happy harley riders took off for the weekend. Hope a good time is had by all that get to go there. For me, working in a dealership there is no way you get the time go when there is so much drop in business from the poor souls that have bad luck and need a mechanic to get them back on the road. I'm in the market for some quality goggles for those windshield-off days, and would like recommendations on what make from those that actually wear goggles. I currently use some off-brand semi-wind blocking sun glasses, but they let too much wind in, especially when going into a NV dust storm headwind. Thoughts? I'm really hoping to hear from those of ya that have goggles that you're REALLY happy with.

ARrrrrrrr, Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day!
irate2:
Yes, this is an actual holiday. A few years back a couple of guys joking around started it and now it appears on many calendars, and even sites like Yahoo post it on their home page. In my are there are actually bars that open early today and have day long drinking parties. Of course it's an easy date for me to remember since it falls each year on my birthday. Guess that makes me the Talk Like a Pirate poster child :roflmao:
Considering that many "official" holidays are nothing more than the invention of greeting card companies, it makes perfect sense to celebrate something so ridiculous as talking like a pirate.
A pirate walks into a bar wearing a paper towel on his head. He sits down at the bar and orders some rum.
