I am bringing a high end, fairly expensive yet lite and durable tent:

and a double sleeping bag. I am bringing both just in case. If I never have to use 'em...fine. Better to have and not need then to need and not have is my motto.

I thought we were gonna get thru this hurricane season unscathed, wrong! Last year Irene hammered the island. No lectric fer 4 days. Picked up gas fer generator today. Full moon same time as the tidal surge means even more flooding. Monday Tuesday gonna be a interesting time here. Crap, just remembered, low a Jack. Gotta go, later men.

Maybe it just in my head but it seems like when the temps start dropping and hanging around 39-52 degrees that there should be a concern for the bike tires not having as affective traction as when its normal warm/hot temps.

What I mean is you know the tire is cold and harder and not as receptive to its traction potential when its cold out. The road surface as well is not its usual warm receptive traction maker when its cold out.Wouldn't this preclude that one should factor that in when riding in colder weather?

I swear I feel more then normal rear tire slippage when its cold out. And by cold I mean 35-42 degrees. It was so prevalent on Tuesday that I thought perhaps my psi was low. But it wasn't.

Water isn't gonna even close to freeze at 35 to 42+ degrees. But I think summer...

I only need one, preferably used, cadmium or chrome, OEM type with a 3/16" allen head. Broke one off in the rocker box the other day changing the seals.

A new set with nuts is over $42. Trying to avoid that as I need only one.
