I bought some after market front turn signals for my 98 sportster (turn signals were gone when I bought it) and the turn signals have 2 wires (red and black) and the bike has 3 wires (black, purple and blue). While trying to figure out which wire goes where I found that there is a constant 12 volts on the purple wire with the ignition on (figure this is for the running lights). When I check the voltage on the brown wire there is 0 volts until I turn on the turn signal and then there is a constant 12 volts, it does not oscillate between 0 volts and 12 volts. However if I turn on the hazards it does. Anybody know how to fix this? Thx

My brother bought a 2001 ultra it has been upgraded to a 103 and the cam case has been redone with s&s gears andrews cams(not sure which ones)but no head work was necessary. He had alot of top end noise so not knowing what had been done to the bike had it all looked at by a mechanic. He said everything was done right with good stuff except for the oil pump which was original so he put in a new pump and new lifters. He still has the same top end noise and a new one sounds like a bad lifter (tock tock tock). We were all set to leave on a trip and he decided to run it like it was and if it blew up so be it. We did 2638 Klicks and it ran like a charm no problems ran strong still makes the same noise no worse and some are telling him it is just a noisey engine and some are like that. If it is...

Happy INDEPENDENCEday to all you BT guys and gals. Ask the younger generation to look up the meaning of the word, and remind them of what it took to for this country to become that way.....lets not let OsambaObama try to make the majority of the population DEPENDENT! Anyway Happy 4th of July!

I'm new at this and have a problem. I recently had 2 codes come up on my Harleys onboard computer diagnostic for the crank trigger sensor. I fixed it and now I need to clear the codes so my check engine light in the tach will go off. Is there anyway I can do this myself or do I need to take it to the Harley shop to get them cleared? Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
