Anyone have experience with the Victory bikes? My son really wants a Fatboy but it is out of his price range. He is looking at an 03" Victory V92C, 92CI 1507 cc. Any input would be appreciated.

I bought an 04 Fatboy with 200 miles on her and Python exhaust. I noticed right away a chrip at idle and pulling out in first gear. I installed Bub Jug Hugger exhaust and have the same chirp. I took the baffles out of the Pythons and it still had the chirp. Harley has told me anything from, the baffles, to exhaust leak, to thats just the way it is. Anyone have this or heard of this chip?

I was reading this internet article at a website "mototuneusa.com" and this guy is recommending a method of new engine break-in that supposedly contradicts what Harley recommends (Haven't read the manual because I haven't picked up the bike yet). He is saying that the first 20 miles or so are critical, and if you don't break it in right the engine will never develop the power it is capable of, and for street break-in he is recommending alternately accelerating and deccelerating hard through 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. Then dumping the oil shortly there after. Also he says that you should be running a 10w-40 mineral oil during this period as apposed to a synthetic. What are your thoughts on this and what type of oil will be in the crankcase of my new ride? He goes on to say that it...

Haven't been ridin' much, just huntin some and fishing occasionally and watching the price on the sign at the gas station down the street go up. Well, I chat on this "two wheeled Texans" board, open to any style bike, and they have 'em all, from street legal dual purpose to full on custom chopper. Quite the variety there. Anyway, they have this "pie run" once a month at a different restaurant around the state, and excuse to ride and get together. A couple of the guys are from Port Lavaca that just got on that board and we got together and rode down to Ingleside, north of Corpus, for this month's pie.
