I have a friend that has a 99 Sportster and he is having some trouble with it. the following text is his description of what is going on with it... any help will be helpful and appreciated... Here is his description....
I've been checking ebay also. I've only found one that looks like the right one. But it came off a 1200. U wouldnt happen to know if it'll be the same ignition would u? Let me see what he's looking to spend. I guess his biggest deal is that he's not 100% sure thats the problem. So till he goes and buys another part at dealer cost and not be the problem, then he ****ed cause he cant return it. Maybe u can help. It started out backfiring and sputtering like it was running out of gas. he reached down and flipped on reserve and it continued to act up. So he calls me and I...

Well, today I was on a different forum and I was just browsing as I do often on this forum and I came up on this thread titled, "Why Use GPS?" Well, me being a sucker for a good conversation, I opened it and started to read it. There wee many things that I liked about this thread, one of them being that it politely and with the utmost courtesy stated each opinion without chastising another. After reading this thread, I replied that thanks to that thread, I will spending the $1,000 to purchase a GPS.
The reasons that were stated just made complete sense to me. The over riding reason was that they want to spend time riding, not sitting on the side of the road hitchhiking looking for gas, or because you took a wrong turn. I don't like the feeling of being lost, so why am I fighting it? I...

Hey I'm new here and just have a couple questions [ for now ], I just bought my first Harley, an 02 883c, with 4438 miles. question is,, I was told it had the 1200 kit in it, but how do I know for sure, does not seem like it while riding, or is there not that much of a difference ? I do know it has the stock jets in the carb, and has the screaming eagle air breather, but I didn't that a breather would make much of a difference.
THANKS,
